Dermatitis includes all types of inflammations of the skin, and includes pathologies such as atopic dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, etc. These diseases are difficult to cure and often disappear naturally many times, despite the fact that there are numerous conventional treatments, feeding tips and natural remedies to apply directly.
In this article we propose another alternative: to make homemade baths with different natural ingredients that will help you to fight also these diseases.
Sea water bath
Sea water is the great remedy for all kinds of skin problems. Many people have seen how in summer their dermatitis improve only by the fact of going to the beach. The large amount of minerals it provides, its alkalizing and disinfecting power and its beneficial pH for our skin make seawater the most natural and effective treatment.
We will add 2 to 5 liters of seawater to the bath water.
Plantain and mauve bath
On the other hand, the mallow helps us to fight and prevent all kinds of grains, sores, wounds, etc.
We will prepare a concentrated infusion with 50 grams of plantain and 50 grams of mallow, both fresh or dried plants, and one liter of water.
We will add this infusion to the bathroom.
Tea tree bath
Some dermatitis can be related to fungi on the skin , and for these cases there is nothing more effective than essential oil, with great antifungal and antibacterial properties.
Simply add a few drops of this oil to the bath water and also to the sponge that we will use for the body.
This oil is very concentrated, so we will avoid its contact with the face and we will start putting only 10 drops to the bathtub.
To prepare the bath we will boil half a kilo of oats in flakes for 3 minutes and then beat the mixture well. The result will be a thick oat milk that we will add to the water in the bathtub.
We can complete this bath using an ” oat sponge “. We will put three handfuls of oat flakes inside a porous, gauze-like fabric, and tie it with a ribbon. This bag will be used as a sponge to gently massage our body, since in contact with the hot water will release its nutrients.
anti-inflammatory and antiviral properties , very effective in the treatment of diseases such as eczema, dermatitis, seborrhea, impetigo, psoriasis, herpes, fungi, fall of hair, sensitive skin, acne, burns, redness, spots on the skin. Also some natural creams include it among its components, thanks to its soothing and relaxing properties.
To prepare this bath we will cook 100 grams of licorice root for ten minutes in a liter of water. Let stand 5 minutes and add it to the bath water.
We finish the article with some general advice to perform the baths correctly and in the most effective and healthy way:
- The ideal temperature for the bath is about 30 or 35 degrees Celsius
- The bath should last between 20 and 30 minutes
- If we use a sponge we will try to make it natural
- We will finish the bath with a shower of cold water, avoiding the area of the head
- After the bath we recommend applying aloe vera natural or in gel over the entire area with dermatitis.
